Novice status haunts Anita
When Anita was in college she was a good basketball player. It seemed to come eary to Anita and her twin sister Bethany. Neither wanted to play in an adult recreation league when college was over.
Anita had never been in a play but she obviously put on a poor act in front of Geroge. She had a lighter that belonged to the clerk and a pack of cigarettes that were opened wrong.
She decided to mask the pack mistake by buying a cigarette case. Inside the case, she could place her soft pack and no one would know different.
With her story finished, she bought a case at Wal-Mart before coming to work. She downloaded her laptop with her Late Bloomer story and headed to the pancake house that served a cluster of office buildings.
Since no one from work would likely be there at that time, Anita decided to sit in smoking.
At the next table a blonde, brunette and redhead were being seated.
Each pulled out a pack of cigarettes.
"I told Roger last night," the redhead said as she lit a Marlboro Light.
How did you tell him asked the blonde as she lit a Winston.
"I just told him 'Honey,I'm hooked,' and took a good inhale just like the lessons from Denise taught me," the redhead said.
"What happened then," the brunette said.
"Well, he loved me squeezed me and said hurry because he wanted to go to bed."
"So, you smoked half a cigarette and that was all," the blonde said.
"No," said the redhead. "We did it and then got up about nine and went to that Chinese place I like and Roger hates. We sat in smoking. I smoked and nibbled. Roger ate pretty well. When we got home I smoked and Roger nibbled."
The blonde and redhead shrieked.
People looked their direction. Anita looked in her purse. Out came the pack inside the case. Then came the borrowed lighter.
Would she?
Could she?
