Early this morning (8AM) I was waiting for a bus and was watching the commuter traffic creep past. This time of year, on a sunny morning, you often get some of your best sightings. I had an unforgettable one today.In the line of traffic was a shiny new Lincoln, one of the big Town Cars, painted a pretty pearlescent white. I looked to see the driver since these cars are fairly uncommon to see around here. To my surprise, instead of the expected little old man or limo driver, it was an executive-type woman, very well dressed, with short blonde hair. She apeared to be about 40 and had the appearance of a mover and shaker.
I could see she was talking on a cellphone and as she sat in traffic she finished the call and put the phone down. She then reached towards the ashtray and to my amazement, retreived a rather large cigar! She took a quick puff-and-eject to get it going again after sitting in the ashtray, then took a much more leisurely drag. She blew about half of it out, then inhaled the rest. Wow.
Anyone who can enjoy a cigar at 8AM is a serious smoker. Put that in the guise of a power-woman exec type and I'm a goner. I would love to meet this lady some day!
