When I first got web access in May, 97, I hadn't smoked since June, '91, when I quit after about 30 years. And this is how I found about the sites and what happened after that.

I was a brandy-new web surfer just checking things out when I clicked on "hobbies" on Yahoo!'s main search page. I was thinking skiing, or model railroading, but one of the topics under "Hobbies" was "Smoking". "Huh?" I thought, "Smoking, a hobby? Can't be cigarettes, has to be something else."

So I clicked and found myself at the "Smoking From All Sides" page. At first it was pretty innocuous. I found things like airport maps showing where you can smoke at various airports and other smoker friendly things. Then, I found the "Glamour" page. Sites with pictures? Yikes! They're real...I'm staring at them on my moniter.

Now, in all the 30+ years I smoked I knew that smoking women turned me on and always had wondered if there's others, especially females who also found cigarettes to be a big turn-on. Well, here it was in front of me. Yes, there's lots of other people, male and female, who feel this way. Not only that, there's _lots_ of women who are willing to smoke for the camera. Needless to say, I was getting harder than I'd been in a long time. The first site to really catch my, um, attention, ;-), was Joe's Animated GIF page, especially Shannon Doherty in Blind Obsession. Whatever happened to that one? Anyway, then I discovered Jenny's site (Ah.....), saw the pix, read the stories, and now, I'm just about to lose it, but still hangin' in there. I surfed a little more and finally saw the image I'd waited SOOOOO LOOOOONG for...a woman smoking a cigarette while masturbating. I lost it completely on that one, just from the visual stimulation. Wow. A dream come true.

So I got to thinking. I mean, here I'd smoked for 30+ years and didn't even get the best part! Well, at that point it was inevetible that I'd start again (like that night). And here I am now, a dedicated smoke lover again.

I plan on going into the following weeks later. Starting afresh like that gave me the opportunity to experience the effects of nicotine on what amounted to a new smoker. It was different (and, actually, better) than the first time.

But now I want to reminisce a little on the smoking sites in '97. Things were more wild and wooly then, and a lot of the sites had the "Blue Ribbon for Free Speech" symbol. Where has that gone? Seems as if the speech is a little less free than it was. Ah, well, to be expected, I guess. And some of the more controversial stories have disappeared, something else to be expected, but they raised interesting questions about fiction.

Finally, I had never thought of my attraction to cigarettes as a fetish. Guess it is, though, and in that light I'm proud to have the fetish. I had always thought of a fetish as something done in secret, as in feet or bdsm, but smoking is something that's done all the time in public. I guess my special attraction to it in private is what makes it a fetish. Anyway, IMHO, I think it's very healthy for people to share about this, compare notes, and support each other.
