I have no ideas as for how you should approach it, but why did your girlfriend have to burn the spider? Couldn't she have just blown massive, thick, and choking amounts of smoke at/on it until it ran away? I bet if the spider got "Smoked" by enough exhales, it could have ran away quicker suffered from smoke inhalation, rather than by receiving burns. What are your thought on that? :-)Karlin
