The smoking section usually reveals something. There's nothing worse than being stuck in smoking and having an attractive young thing not smoke. That happened last night.
Comments can be great and some come without prompting. Once a woman sitting with mother and daughter asked the older woman if she could have a cigarette saying "I haven't done anything wrong all day." The mother gave one to the other woman and offered one to her daughter. Her daughter didn't take one, however.
