I have been against kids smoking even before I discovered these boards. I started at 17, which some think was quite late. Of course, teens, and even younger, will try smoking. Some will become smokers. That's a fact. But, does it need to be encouraged? In the past month, the topic of minors smoking has popped up on almost a dozen boards. On the Smoking Ethics board, kids and fetish videos was debated. Fetish messageboards, groups, etc. involving children was debated on the Debate Forum. Folks there pointed out that children shouldn't be involved in an adult fetish. On Late Bloomers, about a month ago, some nut calling himself "Smoking Lessons" was offering to teach minors to smoke. Michael said the encouragement of smoking by minors wasn't permitted, and the poster was banned. And, the Pregnant Smoking board once had posts about babies smoking, but those type of posts are now banned. I realize it can be a sensitive topic, especially on a really pro-smoking board like this one. And, I've never seen a smoking video, and the only smoking pictures I look at are the ones in my Yahoo! groups, when I look through them and delete the improper ones. A big point is that on some boards, everyone says how wrong it is, on other boards, it seems to be an accepted practice. But, mainly, I think that any smoking by minors should be discouraged. I know that may go against the fetish. So, since the issue won't be resolved here, lets just agree to disagree, OK? Agreeable Angie.
