I witnessed something amazing tonight that just made me so happy :)

Here in Norway we got the smoking ban in pubs back in 2004. Many girls still smoke and you can see them outside of the clubs. But I don't see many young girls smoking, so I have been afraid that few are starting to smoke these days.

Today I had a great sighting at Macdonald's of all places. I was walking inside when I suddenly had to slow down. Two young girls were sitting outside eating, one of them was smoking, I think they were about 14-15. I quickly ordered and decided to eat outside instead of taking the food home with me.
When I got out I was amazed to see the other one was smoking to, she did not look like a smoker, more like an athlete, blond with a tight little body.

I sat down at the table next to them, and probably starred so much that they must have thought I was a pervert :) They both appeared to be apart of the cool kids, but they did not look like it. The girl who I saw smoking had long brown hair, she had a nice tan and wore glasses, my first thought was she was a typical A-grade student with parents who just adored their little girl.
But she was a smoker, and she smoked like a pro. They were probably smoking to be cool, but my impression is that smoking is not cool today, or at least that is what the government and the media wants us to think. Anyways, perhaps they were only smoking to be cool, but they were excellent at it, they could easily have passed for smokers who had smoked for 10 years.

The blonde took a long drag, inhaled, and kept the smoke inside while waiting for the other to finish asking her a question, and answered with a short reply before exhaling the rest of the smoke. Wonderful!

I was so impressed over their smoking abilities, and how they managed to look so confident and relaxed with their cigarettes. Why weren’t they worried of being caught by their parents?
