I defend The USA for bombing Japan,they started it by bombing US.The whole idea of winning is for your side to finish with with the least casualties.
That being said your right the victor makes the law.That is why the US must stay a sovereign nation so that we abide by our laws and not other nations laws under UN control.You must understand laws have nothing to do with right or wrong,they are a wriiten set of Government regulations.Under Hitler"s law the Nazis committed no crime,They followed the law of thier land(yes it was terribly wrong but not against HITLERS GERMAN LAW)If they disobeyed his law and let those Jewish prisoners go they would have been prosecuted for breaking this law.Under muslim law raping women and abusing them is legal,think about it. Our US laws are based on the the ethics of the Cristian,Jewdado.I am not endorsing a religion ,but think about it,do unto others,thou shall ot steal,thou shall not commit adultery and so on. LOng story short,the law depends on who writes it.
