I can confirm from the few times my Parents got me to go to Temple when I was a kid (the High Holy Days mostly), that Jewish women would smoke with the same intensity and sensuality before and after religious services as the women you observed before and after Church.
Growing up in a Jewish household, I of course had to study for my Bar Mitzvah. That meant 2 days a week I would have to go to Hebrew School after public school, where our parents would take turns driving us. I of course hated this, wanting nothing more than to play football, basketball, or baseball (depending on the season) after school as a preteen. However I would look forward to it when it was my friend Gary's Mom's turn to drive us. She was beautiful, probably in her mid thirtys but looked no older than 25. And she would chain smoke Marlboro Reds the entire time driving us to and from Hebrew School, filling the car with that seductive, female, cigarette smoke. All the other kids would arrive to class feeling nausiated......me, I had to walk with my books in front of me to hide how much I enjoyed riding with her.
