That's insanity!
People are notoriously bad at judging the consequences of their behavior over time--one day, much less many years. Intellectually you may understand the depth of sh*t you're about to step into, but emotionally (being human) you can't imagine how rotten it'll be.
Push your wife, for goodness' sake! She'll bend. Women in love are the most malleable creatures on earth. They'll go to the ends of the earth to please you.
Try to imagine the loss in status you'll suffer from this step. Try to imagine what it will feel like when this girl divorces you and takes half your wealth. Try to imagine what might happen to your job as your performance suffers during the upcoming crises.
