I was not aware of my fetish until a little later in life. Pre-junior high school, I am vaguely aware of being turned on by women smoking, mostly through TV, movies and the print ads. In junior high and especially freshman year of high school, my peers started to smoke, and my fetish simply exploded. Scores of sexy girls, just starting to blossom into their feminine bodies, teased their hair up high, layered on the makeup, donned skin tight designer jeans, boots, and leather jackets, and started smoking (in my school, it was almost exclusively Marlboro Reds and Lights). As MC wrote, "I would be mesmorized by many teenage girls whp were just hanging out in their black leather jackets and smoking Marlboros." I spent an inordinate amount of time putting myself in position for sightings.

There was, unfortunately, a huge social chasm between the jocks and "the heads" or "burnouts." Therefore, I never had any true interaction with the sexy smokers I lusted after until college, to a small degree, and after college, to a large degree.
