Hi Mick and SJ...
I agree completely that people would find the blog interesting and worth reading, and that it's a "different situation" because he's not selling anything.
But if he's updating 2-3 times a week (as I believe he said he was aiming for) - I really don't want to see even a "different situation" taking up every second or third new thread on *this* board, simply saying that he's updated his site.
I would hope, since Perplexed is obviously thoughtful and a good writer, that he'd become a contributor here, and be able to both add to this board, and promote his own blog at the bottom of his posts.
I'm really not trying to be a hard-ass on this; just trying to be consistent and make sure that during slow times, this doesn't become the "I updated my blog" board.
