My usual route home from work takes me by a library & then a school which is k thru 12... anyhow I happened to glance off to the bike path in back of the library when I was driving, and I saw this Asian-looking teen girl standing there exhaling as she hung out there with her 2 friends... a couple days after that, I cut through an alley to beat the traffic, and what do I see out in back of someone's house (by the gas meter no less) but 3 teen girls and a teen boy smoking. One of the girls was a cute redhead.I have mixed feelings about seeing stuff like this... on one hand I think if teens want to smoke, then they should at least know what they are getting into... OTOH I lost the best boss I ever had last January to the big C (but not lung cancer)... he slipped away 3 weeks short of the big 50, but unfortunately he had no regrets about his 2 ppd Marlboro Reds habit. I guess the silver lining is... my boss's teenage son & daughter have never smoked. Just my 2 cents.
